Applicants for higher education of the first (bachelor's) level in the specialty 202 "Plant Protection and Quarantine" receive the qualification Bachelor of Plant Protection and Quarantine, which is fully prepared to perform functional professional, organizational, managerial duties in production.
 

Forming a contingent of students:

• graduates of full secondary school (11 classes)
• graduates of higher educational institutions of I-II levels of accreditation.

Entrance exams:

• on the basis of complete general secondary education: certificates of external testing in disciplines, which are provided in the rules of admission to PSAU
• on the basis of  junior bachelor, EQL junior specialist: certificates of external testing in disciplines, which are provided in the rules of admission to PSAU, professional exam

Specialists are trained:

• at the expense of legal entities;
• at the expense of individuals.

In the process of learning the applicant has the opportunity to:

Functions of professional activity:

• ability to carry out phytosanitary diagnostics of diseases of plants, insects, mites, nematodes, rodents and weeds according to the latest principles and methods;
• ability to inspect objects of regulation in order to ensure compliance with phytosanitary measures in the process of their production, storage, transportation, sale during export, import, transit of products of plant origin;
• the ability to develop a forecast of the development and spread of pests, which will implement the state policy in the field of plant protection and quarantine;
• ability to detect, localize and eliminate regulated pests based on the results of inspection and phytosanitary examination;
• ability to develop and apply plant protection technologies at agricultural and other facilities;
• ability to assess phytosanitary risks (biological, environmental, economic) due to the introduction or spread of regulated pests;
• ability to coordinate phytosanitary monitoring to identify features of biology and ecology of pests in Ukraine;
• ability to comprehensively apply methods for long-term regulation, development and spread of pests to an economically intangible level based on the forecast, economic thresholds of harmfulness, efficiency of beneficial organisms, energy-saving and environmental technologies that provide reliable plant protection and environmental safety;
• ability to organize measures for plant protection and quarantine by enterprises, institutions, organizations of all forms of ownership and citizens whose activities are related to the use of land, water bodies, cultivation of agricultural and other purposes, their sale, processing, storage and use;
• ability to organize storage and transportation works.
