Specialty “Food Technology”

On the Food Technology Faculty specialists’ training is conducted according to
the educational and professional program “Food Technology”,
specialty 181 “Food Technology” branch of science 18 “Production and Technology” for enterprises of food industry

Bachelor’s degree

Training is carried out on a full-time and part-time basis.

Term of study - 4 years.

License volume - 50 people.

Level of higher education – Bachelor’s degree.

Qualification - Bachelor of Food Technology.

The faculty is headed by PhD in Agricultural Sciences, Professor Anatoliy Polishchuk.

 

Training in the educational program "Food Technology" involves deep theoretical knowledge and gaining professional skills in modern technologies of food processing, production of high quality food, development of new products, functional and preventive direction, control and management of production and product quality according to European requirements, design and reconstruction of food industry enterprises, introduction of innovative resource-saving technologies, determination of economic efficiency of technological processes.

 

Specialists of food industry form food security of the country, providing population with vital products. Students acquire professional knowledge and skills in meat, milk, grain processing, bakery and pasta production, confectionery, sugar, fermentation production, improvement and optimization of production processes, product certification. Graduates are able to conduct researches, to develop new and improve existing food technologies based on modern principles of nutrition.

 

Upon graduation, graduates can work as masters, technologists, chiefs in the food industry enterprises. In addition to employment in this area, graduates have a right to continue scientific or professional education at the second level of higher education – Master’s degree in food technology in specializations in accordance with the food industry in specialized universities of Ukraine and abroad.
