Training of students on specialty 076 “Business, Trade and Exchange Activities” is carried out for performing by them in the future of organizational and managerial, commercial, analytical, and research activities in the field of management, marketing, economics, business under the conditions of competition and the market relations at enterprises of various forms of economy.

Business, trade and exchange activities are the activities connected with achievement of success in the sphere of business, trade, and competition with the purpose of improving purchase and sale process.

Business is initiative, creative, independent economic activities of the economic subject, who constantly carries out new combinations of resources for implementing new ideas, manufacturing new products, and making a profit; organizational and economic innovation on the basis of using various opportunities for introducing new or existing goods by new methods, opening new sources of raw materials, sales markets, production reorganization, etc.

Trade is any operations which are carried out according to the agreements of purchase, sale, exchange, delivery, and other civil-legal agreements which envisage the transfer of ownership on the goods; it is the initiative, systematic, carried out on one’s own risk activities of legal entities and individuals as to purchasing and selling goods to final users either intermediary operations, or activities for providing agency, representative, commission, and other services in promoting goods from the producer to the consumer for receiving profits.

Exchange activities are the activities in the world financial markets, development of the analysis methods of the financial markets, and the ability to use effectively exchange tools, the ability to make effective strategic decisions, and to predict tendencies. and to insure risks of the market.

The expert's duties are to analyze the goods markets and producers’ competitiveness, to supervise production and to organize effective movement of goods for improving activity results.

During training in PSAU in specialty “Business, Trade, and Exchange Activities” the students will study nearly 60 courses which can conventionally be united into several blocks.

The first block includes social and humanitarian courses, which are aimed at expanding the person’s outlook, developing the personality. These include History of Ukraine, History of Ukrainian culture, Ukrainian language (according to professional training), Foreign language, Philosophy.

The second block includes natural-science and general economic courses which include Political economy, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Economic theory, Optimization methods and models, Technology of the branch.

The third block consists of professionally oriented courses. They are directed to professional training of students, forming their economic thinking. First of all, it is Entrepreneurship, Fundamentals of commodity research, Exchange activities, Economics of enterprise, Management, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Economics of labor and social-labor relations, Organization of production, etc.

Thus, acquiring knowledge which are envisaged by the study program in specialty “Business, Trade and Exchange Activities” forms in students the mastering of theoretical knowledge system, applied skills as to using the fundamentals of applied economics, methods of organizing effective economic activities at the level of the main link of social production, the enterprise, forms the necessary set of theoretical and practical knowledge for the solution of specific economic tasks at the present stage of development of economy.
