Specialty "Accounting and taxation"

The Faculty of Accounting and Finance has the license of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine which certifies the right for implementation of the educational activities connected with granting the higher education in the specialty “Accounting and Taxation” and the certificate on the state accreditation on the IV level valid up to 2025.

Presently it is more difficult to work as the accountant, than earlier, continuous updating of standard and legal base demands constant mental activities.

The profession of accountant is for logically thinking people who aren't afraid to make decisions, are hard-working and able to listen and hear, communicate with the management and know where to find the answer to the questions.

The accountant is one of the major professions without which there can be no enterprise, no organization. And the destiny of enterprises often depends on the qualification and knowledge of accountants.

​The dominating kinds of activities of the accountant are:

  • the accounting of fixed assets, inventory items, costs of production, accounting of product sales, results of financial and economic activities, settlements with suppliers and customers for the provided services, etc.;

  • implementation of receiving and control of primary documentation on the corresponding sections of accounting (checking the validity of making, the completeness of entries, the correctness of mentioned measurements, signatures), and preparation them to calculating processing;

  • grouping the received documents according to certain criteria;

  • carrying out the economic analysis of economic activities and providing information on the activities of separate subdivisions and enterprise as a whole;

  • revealing the reserves of the enterprise and sources of losses on the basis of reports;

  • eliminating losses and non-productive expenses;

  • calculating and transferring payments to the state budget, contributions to the state social insurance, funds for financing capital investments, salary of workers and employees, taxes, and other payments, and also deductions to economic incentive funds;

  • implementing preliminary control function (clearing up the expediency and necessity of performing operations connected with giving out and receiving money, commodity, material, and other values);

  • drawing up monthly, quarterly, annual reports by the results of work and their registration in the worksheet table;

  • participation in inventories (comparing the available materials, money, settlements, and payment obligations with the data of accounting documents);

  • ensuring the safety of accounting documents, their registration in accordance with the established procedure for transferring them to the archive;

  • using of modern computer equipment in work.

The students showing the high level of scientific activities have an opportunity to continue the training at the postgraduate course.

Continuous expansion of the international cooperation allows students to have annual practical training abroad, in particular, in England, Germany, Austria, Denmark, France, the USA, Switzerland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Canada, Poland, Hungary, Norway, Finland, Australia, New Zealand.
