Finance, Banking, and Insurance

The Faculty of Accounting and Finance has the license of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine which certifies the right for implementation of the educational activities connected with granting the higher education in the specialty «Finance, Banking and Insurance» and the certificate on the state accreditation on the IV level valid up to 2025.

The peculiarities of financier’s work:

  • performs financial and bank control of money turnover, ensuring financial stability of the enterprise;

  • analyzes the condition of financial and economic activities of the enterprise;

  • participates in developing investment programs, defining the directions of money expenditure, ensuring current financing;

  • carries out interaction with various structures of the financial market on the aspects of financial, credit, and tax activities.

The place of professional activities of the financier are state bodies of all activities and subordination levels, banks, exchanges, financial and insurance companies, investment funds, economic and financial services of enterprises and organizations.

The specifics of financier’s activities are defined by specific conditions of the workplace, there can also be different variations, but the main professional directions and the purposes are the following:

1. Financial and credit direction – developing and using of various accounting and expenses systems for the assessment of expenditures and income, financial estimates drawing up, credit operations working out and control over them, finance planning, providing recommendations related to the transactions with real estate (selling, purchasing, merging of firms).

2. Tax and budget – the calculation of taxes, their charge (control over the amount) and deductions; budget planning.

3. Investment – capital investments directed on capital support and expansion. Investments are implemented with crediting, the direct money expenditure and purchasing bonds.

4. Standard and methodical direction – development and implementation of finance and statistics reporting systems, financial reporting preparation.

5. Insurance – work with insurance documents.

6. Foreign economics – economics and organization of production (work in the conditions of constantly changing economic environment).

For high academic achievements, active participation in public life, the faculty is awarded incentive scholarships (the opportunity to win scholarships of the President of Ukraine, the Hero of Ukraine Semen Antonets, Rector of the Academy and non-budget funds "Zavtra-UA", "Ukraine" and many others). Applicants who demonstrate a high level of scientific activity have the opportunity to continue their studies on postgraduate courses.

The constant expansion of international cooperation allows students to undergo annual internships abroad, in such countries as: England, Germany, Austria, Denmark, France, the USA, Switzerland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Canada, Poland, Hungary, Norway, Finland, Australia and New Zealand.
