Students of the University have an opportunity to study at the military department, its graduates receive the rank of junior lieutenant of the reserve.

On Poltava state agrarian university basis there are driving courses, which provide an opportunity to gain quality knowledge and obtain the driving license of a category "B".

On the territory of Poltava state agrarian University there is registration office for external independent testing (EIT) (office #400, campus #4).

Preparatory courses of Poltava State Agrarian Academy invite students of graduating classes of secondary schools and secondary special educational institutions to prepare external independent testing (EIT).

There is a possibility to add up to 20 points to one of the subjects of the EIT certificate for the winners of the national PSAU competitions when entering a specialty that requires special support from the state (101 Ecology, 133 Industrial Engineering, 162 Biotechnology and Bioengineering, 181 Food Technology, 201 Agronomy, 202 Plants’ protection and quarantine, 204 Technology of production and processing of livestock products, 208 Agrarian engineering).

The Colleges conduct admission of young people to study on the basis of nine classes (without EIT) and on the basis of eleven classes (on the basis of EIT and / or entrance exams).
